How does a High School student define success?  Do they hope to pass a test to get through a class?  Is there pressure to earn good grades to maintain a GPA?  Will the student work through a checklist of clubs and accolades to impress a college or job recruiter?  In today’s society, success is often valued more than learning.

So how can we correlate education to success?  Take a group of students who are willing to learn, and give them the opportunity to apply what they learn.  Develop a team that fosters personal growth, and challenge that team to use their talent, creativity, and knowledge to overcome obstacles.  The team’s success relies directly on the contributions of the members: members who know that education is more than just passing tests.
